Snetterton dog rescue centre seeks loving family for Gavin

Gorgeous one-year-old crossbreed Gavin is hoping he will be as lucky in love as his TV star namesake, and find a family to settle down with soon.

Says Kate Brewster, Dogs Trust Snetterton supporter relations officer: 'Welsh canine Gavin was found as a stray near Barry Island, the main location for award-winning TV series Gavin & Stacey. Gavin arrived here at the centre with ten other rescued canines, all named after characters from the series. The intake of furry friends included Smithy, the lab cross, and Terriers Bryn & Stacey, all of whom have since found homes, Gavin is keeping his paws crossed that he too will soon.

'Gavin is a very bright boy with heaps of potential, he is quick to learn and loves food, so reward-based training will be very enjoyable, and will see him come on in leaps and bounds with a patient and experienced adopter. A lively young lad who loves to be out and about, Gavin is looking to find active owners who enjoy walking as much as he does. When not stretching his legs, or using his super nose to sniff out tasty treats, Gavin has been known to enjoy a spot of sunbathing, and dreams of a comfy bed, in a loving home, where he can soak up some rays. Gavin is a fun and faithful four-legged friend, with whom a consistent routine and further training will see him develop into a cracking little dog.'
