Small fire in stairwell dealt with in Lowestoft

Firefighters from Lowestoft were called out today (Sunday) following reports of a building blaze, with persons reported.

But after arriving at the property in Hollingsworth Road, Lowestoft at about 4.25pm this afternoon, crews discovered that a small fire in a stairwell had been put out on arrival.

With two crews from Lowestoft South and a further crew from north Lowestoft attending, the scene was cleared by 4.36pm.
