Small businesses are being invited to hear from international designer Wayne Hemingway as plans for a new and exciting festival for Lowestoft are progressed.

Ambitious plans to host the 'First light Festival' – which celebrates local and international culture – will be showcased at an event next month.

A meeting is being held at the Hotel Victoria in Lowestoft, from 5pm to 6.30pm on November 7, with an invitation going out to small businesses. It comes as the 24-hour long multi-arts beach and beachfront festival on the weekend of June 22 and 23, 2019 is supported by Flipside Festival and HemingwayDesign as they work with Waveney District Council and Suffolk County Council.

A festival spokesman said: 'This is an open invitation to small businesses to come and find out more about the festival on November 7 and how they could get involved. An invitation to learn more about First Light Festival from Wayne Hemingway and Genevieve Christie, director of Flipside Festival, and how your business could be involved.'
