A grandfather who marked his 83rd birthday by jumping from a plane is already thinking about his next celebratory stunt.

Peter Roach, of Worlingham, raised more than £400 for Cancer Research UK by taking a skydiving plunge days after his birthday.

Now, he is looking for ways to celebrate his next birthday, having thoroughly enjoyed his skydiving experience.

Mr Roach said: “I’m trying to think of something else to do for my 84th now, perhaps I will go white water rafting.

“The skydive was incredible - when you step out you get this huge rush of air, then you just float.

“I could see everything beneath me, from Lowestoft to Norwich.”

Mr Roach made the decision to do the skydive after seeing his grandson do the same thing.

The event was held in memory of his wife Cynthia, who died of cancer in February. His first wife, Pat, also lost a battle with the illness, in 1978.
