As party campaigns get underway ahead of the snap election on June 8 we've dug out six of the more memorable Norfolk stories from previous elections. From swine flu to naked voters, here's an indication of what might be in store over the next seven weeks.
1. When one Norwich resident took the opportunity to get it all off his chest when Theresa May went door-knocking with Norwich North MP Chloe Smith in 2013 and answered half-naked.
2. A blunder in Blundeston during the 2015 EU Referendum, when the polling station sign outside the village hall was stuck next to the way out sign.
3. During the 2010 election UKIP candidate for Norwich North, Glenn Tingle, was forced to apologise after suggesting Britain should blow up Iran if the country developed a nuclear weapon.
4. Norwich South MP Clive Lewis, one of only 13 MPs to reject the call for a snap election, ruffled a few feathers during the 2015 general election. Asked by a New Statesman journalist of his chances of getting elected, he said he took nothing for granted, adding: 'I could be caught with my pants down behind a goat with Ed Miliband at the other end.' Mr Lewis was later forced to apologise for his use of 'colourful metaphors'.
5. During the 2010 election, former vice-chairman of the Norfolk County Labour Party John Cowan, who was standing for Labour in South-East Cambridgeshire, had his clean image left in tatters after he boasted about his sexual exploits on dating websites. The wannabee MP couldn't sweep the rumours under the carpet, and he was suspended from the Labour Party.
6. Chris Ostrowski hit the headlines in 2009 after he contracted swine flu just 48 hours before the Norwich North by-election. The Labour hopeful made a full recovery but was pipped to the post by Conservative MP Chloe Smith.
