Six fire engines tackled a fire on the outskirts of Blofield on Thursday night.
The fire at a home on Bullacebush Lane started at around 10.40pm.
Crews were called to a thatched roof which had caught light.
Firemen were expected to be on scene until late into the night.
Special units were brought in to deal with the blaze.
