Fire crews from across Suffolk and Norfolk were called to reports of a large crop fire at around 4.12pm this evening.
It is believed that around 45 acres of cut barley straw were well alight in a field at the Woodfarm premises along the B1118 Queen Street in Badingham, just outside of Stradbrooke.
Six fire engines attended the scene using a water canon in an attempt to get the fire under control.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue said on Twitter: 'Suffolk / Norfolk / Water Bowser worked hard to control Badingham fire - 45 acre field of cut Barley straw. Well done all!'
Fire services remain on the scene as a precaution.
