Fire crews from Lowestoft and Halesworth have been kept busy with a spate of early morning call-outs.

A crew from Halesworth fire station were alerted just before 1am this morning (Sunday) to an incident in Holton. They responded after a fire alarm was triggered, and after checking the area the scene was cleared by 1.26am.

A marine incident in Oulton Broad saw two fire crews from Lowestoft South quickly tackle a boat blaze. They were called to Marsh Road in Oulton Broad at 1.20am following reports of a boat fire, and soon had the blaze under control with the scene cleared by 2.07am.

Crews from Lowestoft South fire station then co-responded to two cardiac arrest incidents in quick succession at Kent Road, Lowestoft and Shaw Avenue, Carlton Colville, as the fire crew assisted the East of England Ambulance Service.

A crew from Lowestoft South were called to Normanston Drive at 5.18am this morning (Sunday) following reports of a shed fire. On arrival the crew discovered a 'train carriage on fire,' and they soon had the incident under control with the scene cleared within 30 minutes.
