Sex attack on teenage girl in Hethersett

A teenager managed to escape the clutches of a van driver who tried to fondle and kiss her.

The 16-year-old girl was attacked in Hethersett on Tuesday evening while walking along Queen's Road.

Just after she had passed a store, she was approached by a man in a delivery van at around 8pm.

The driver had stopped in a road opposite and talked to her through an open window.

When she got closer to speak to him, he got out and grabbed her.

He then attempted to kiss and fondle her before she managed to pull away and run off.

The man is described as being in his mid twenties, of slim build and over six feet tall.

Officers from Wymondham Safer Neighbourhood Team are now appealing for witnesses.
