A second man has been arrested in connection with an aggravated burglary in Beccles earlier this month.

It happened on Ellough Road on the evening of April 1, when several people allegedly went to a house and assaulted two brothers inside.

A 30-year-old man from Lowestoft was arrested in connection with the incident last week, and has now been bailed to return to police on May 24 while they continue the investigation.

Earlier this month, Jai Souter, 23, of Rigbourne Hill in Beccles was arrested and charged with attempted robbery, possession of a knife blade in a public place and escaping lawful custody.

He will appear at Ipswich Crown Court on May 6.
