An atmospheric image of a black Jaguar has won a Watton-based photographer his second international award.

James Neale received the commercial photographer of 2011 prize at the professional photographer of the year award held in London on Thursday March 29.

He said he saw the car parked in a Hingham driveway, and thought a chrome effect caused by low sunlight and the symmetry of the image appealed to the judges.

The 26 year old first became interested in photography as a hobby during a charity walk in China in 2006, and set up his business James Neale Photography two and a half years ago.

He said: 'When the recession kicked in I was working longer and longer hours and I thought I'm putting 80 hours a week into someone else's business and I could put it into my business. It's always been a hobby of mine so I thought I would make a go of it.'
