Second fatal crash in north Norfolk

A 20-year-old driver died near Sheringham last night after a collision between two Vauxhall Corsa cars.The man, who has not yet been named, was driving a red Corsa heading away from Sheringham, when it was in a crash with a silver one, on the A149 coast road a mile on the Weybourne side of town.

A 20-year-old driver died near Sheringham last night after a collision between two Vauxhall Corsa cars.

The man, who has not yet been named, was driving a red Corsa heading away from Sheringham, when it was in a crash with a silver one, on the A149 coast road a mile on the Weybourne side of town.

The driver died from his injuries in the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. The driver of silver Corsa suffered minor injuries in the accident, which happened about 9.15pm.

Police are investigating the crash and PC Rob Hardingham is keen to hear from any witnesses of the collision or the way the cars were driving beforehand. He can be contacted on 0845 456 4567.

It is the second fatal crash involving a young male driver in the north Norfolk area in two days.

On Wednesday night at 10.40pm a 19-year-old driving a silver Vauxhall Astra died after his car hit a brick wall on a bend at Northrepps just outside Cromer.
