RAF and police search teams are currently walking the A11 Newmarket-bound carriageway near to Barton Mills as the hunt for Corrie McKeague continues.
The RAF Regiment gunner, 23, from RAF Honington was reported missing on Monday September 26 and was last seen on CCTV in Bury St Edmunds at 3.23am on Saturday September 24.
The searches in the Barton Mills area come after mobile phone location data found his phone was last on in the early hours of Saturday morning near to the Fiveways Roundabout.
Earlier this morning police searched between the Fiveways Roundabout and Icklingham, along the A1101.
Traffic is being allowed to flow slowly past the search teams, but delays should be expected as the whole road is being searched.
Corrie was last seen wearing a bright pink top and white trousers. Initial enquiries have led police to believe he may have tried to walk home from Bury to RAF Honington, where he lives.
He was known to walk home after nights out.
Police are also keen to trace three young people seen near to Cornhill Walk in Bury in the early hours of September 24.
If you have any information at all, no matter how uncertain you may be, please phone 101 urgently and ask for the Bury St Edmunds police station duty sergeant.
More to come
