Which place in Breckland are you most proud of?

That is question being posed to tens of thousands of residents across the district as the council takes part in a national Pride of Place Poll.

Ten places have put been forward and locals will have their chance to vote for their favourite before November 30.

The choices are: Ancient House Museum of Thetford Life, Bishop Bonner's Cottage in Dereham, Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse, Grime's Graves, Mid Norfolk Railway's Dereham Station, Oxburgh Hall, Queens Square at Attleborough, The Brecks, Thetford Forest and Wayland Wood.

Breckland Council deputy leader Bill Smith said: “We were keen to take part in the national poll as part of our “Pride in Breckland” campaign to highlight just a few of the things our area can be justly proud of.

“I hope this will get people talking and raise awareness about how much there is to do and see in Breckland. We need to work together to keep Breckland beautiful and this poll is an easy and fun way to get to know Breckland better.

“The more votes each place achieves the more publicity it will receive nationally so help us by voting online today.”
