An inquest review was held today (Monday) into the death of a man who fell from the back of a vehicle.

Scott Baisley, from St Olaves, near Great Yarmouth, suffered a serious head injury following the accident in Kings Road, Bradwell, on June 22 last year.

The service support manager was rushed to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge for treatment, but died four days later on June 26.

At the opening of his inquest in Norwich on July 3, 2017, assistant coroner Johanna Thompson said Mr Baisley had been offered a lift by friends as they drove past.

At an inquest review yesterday area coroner for Norfolk Yvonne Blake said as a death by dangerous driving case was being heard in relation to Mr Baisley's death, an inquest could not be held.

She adjourned the case for another review on January 14, 2019.

After his death tributes were paid to Mr Baisley.

Daniel Copp, manager of The Sun Inn, where he was well known, said: 'Scott was a real and true gentleman. We are all deeply saddened and will all miss him and miss that smile.'

And a sympathy card left on flowers at the scene of his death read: 'Since the dot you have been a part of my life, and forever you will carry on.'
