Dereham Cancer Care was thrilled to be invited to a meeting of the Harlequins Scooter Club held at The Gemini public house.

Art works adorned many of the scooters including tributes to Sting, Madness and other famous scooter fans.

Members meet in Dereham and come from across Norfolk. The club was named after the Harlequin coffee bar in Quebec Street which was a meeting place in the 1960s for scooter riders.

The Harlequins held a dance with Who tribute band Quadrophenia at Toftwood Social Club in May raising £1,000 for local cancer charities.

Dereham Cancer Care was presented with a £500 cheque by club member Andy Burton who organised a line-up of scooters, some of which were probably once parked outside the Harlequin coffee bar.

Dereham Cancer Care thanks all Harlequin club members for their support and Richard Dickerson who put forward the charity.
