Running side by side for charity, Langley Prep showed they are more than a school, they are community.
Little ones came together, with support from family, friends and the PTA, to run six laps of the school's playing field to raise thousands for Cancer Research UK.
Donations have poured in and the school has already raised more than £2000.
Pupils from nursery age through to year six took part in the Race for Life and received a medal as they crossed the finish line.
Marie Hood, head of games and PE at Langley Preparatory School, said: 'As we know Cancer is an illness that touches all of our lives and I have been overwhelmed with the generosity and support from everyone.
'The children have shown a real interest and have been keen to share their stories and it has driven the fundraising effort above all my expectations. Our £500 target has been smashed, as we already have over £2,000 in donations with more donations still coming in thick and fast.'
Older children were also praised for the support they showed little ones during the run on Friday, January 15, with some running alongside and cheering them on as they made their final laps of the snow covered field.
Ms Hood, added: 'I am extremely proud of everyone involved in our event and it has certainly helped spur us on during our cross country season. We look forward to holding this event again next year.'
