Santa and Rudolf may have been otherwise occupied, but a couple of more than able deputies spread some seasonal cheer at a care home's Christmas party.

Laura Smith and her horse Spotty Dot dressed for the occasion to deliver presents to residents at Letheringsett Hall near Holt.

Manager Donna Butterfield said: 'We always try to go that extra mile to make life stimulating, fun and enjoyable.'

Next year Letheringsett Hall director Laura plans to visit her other two homes - Scarborough House in Wells and Field View in Fakenham and arrangements have already been made with her husband and other horse Dixie to make it a real family affair.
