Well thanks to an author from north Norfolk, you can now find the answer to any bizarre Christmas tradition question you may ever have thought of.

Ryan Pugh, a freelance comic writer based on the coast, has recently released his forth publication entitled Stocking Filler.

He describes the book as a history of festive traditions, songs and films, which are mixed with his "childish sense of humour".

The author, who spent eighteen months of his life immersed in Christmas, said: "I must have read every festive history book ever published and listened to every naff - and great - Christmas song ever released.

"I didn't expect Stocking Filler to be so big but as I wrote it, I just kept on finding out more and more fascinating yuletide facts. It swelled and swelled like a Christmas pudding.

"Having initially thought of it as something of a lighthearted side project, it is now probably my favourite of all my four books."

The book talks about a range of things from Christmas chocolates to The Snowman, via Christmas carols and nativity services. Basically, no Christmas stone is left unturned.

- Extracts from the book can be heard on Monday nights on Radio Norfolk's Jack Jay Show.

- The 400 pages of Christmas-related information is available on Amazon and signed copies can be purchased directly from Mr Pugh's website .
