Russell the kitten was found under a compost heap by the RSPCA last month. Thankfully, a family from Brundall adopted him and have given him a new forever home.
Now 11 weeks old, Russell is enjoying life and settling into his new home well.
Lindsey Knights and her family of four adopted the kitten after reading our story on Russell's tragic start to life, after he was found under a compost heap. The family sadly lost their previous cat aged 17 back in September and were looking for a new furry friend to add to their home. There was a lot of interest in Russell following the EDP story, but the Knights family were the ones who were eventually picked to be Russell's new owners.
The family have quickly fallen in with all his unique quirks - which include an obsession with the bath.
'He keeps jumping in it and then tears around it sliding everywhere,' Mrs Knights said.
'He also loves getting under the duvet and actually in the cover and just generally loves being covered up,' she added.
Russell's favourite toy is a mouse on the end of a plastic stick, but Mrs Knights said the playful kitten has already pretty much destroyed it.
'Give him a cardboard box and a knotted crisp packet and he's happy as,' she said.
Most of all though Russell is loving the attention and cuddles from his new family.
'He is always purring and loves company.'
