The RSPCA East Norfolk hope to find a home for a young cat that came into their care with kittens.

Elf, a domestic short-haired cat, came to the rescue centre as a young mother around two months ago when she was just eight months old.

All her kittens have now been rehomed but the staff who work at the RSPCA East Norfolk are still trying to find Elf a home of her own.

Elf is described as 'a little bit timid' so the charity says she would be happiest in an adult only home. They are looking for an owner who can 'continue to build up her confidence.'

If you think you could be the right person to give Elf a home then please call the RSPCA rehoming line on 07867972870.

There are a number of other animals also looking for homes this week.

Latte is a tabby cat that was much loved but came to the RSPCA after her owner could no longer care for her. She's around five years old and would do best in a quiet adult home.

Mocha came in with Latte and is around seven years old. She could be rehomed on her own or along with Latte.

Megabyte, Mal and Cyber arrived with another five cats. They could be rehomed on their own or in pairs. Their ages range from approximately six to twelve years old.

Kentish, who has been with the RSPCA for months, is still hoping someone will call wanting to meet him. He would like an adult only home.

Jackson is looking for an indoor home or one where he could have access to an enclosed garden. He has FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) but the RSPCA say this isn't causing him any problems. He is described as a nice natured cat who likes to be around people.

Ant has been at the rescue centre for some time now and is not very happy at the cattery so she needs a home as soon as possible. The RSPCA say she has been used to living outside for a number of years but would now love a proper home.

Hinge and Bracket are 15 weeks old now and the RSPCA would love for them to find a home while they are still young. They are described as nice natured kittens who start purring as soon as you give them attention.

Kristy, who is around six years old, is the cattery's longest term resident and has been with the RSPCA for over 100 days.

A spokesperson for the RSPCA said: 'No-one has even ever been into her pen to meet her because of her naughty behaviour. She does appear to have had an unsettled past and does have some behavioural problems as a result of this.

'She is happy to see everyone who arrives at the cattery and is always the one rubbing against the bars desperate for company.

'She will rub around your legs purring and is always ready to play, however she will swipe or give a little bite every time you try to touch her. A lot of this may be down to frustration and over-excitement and we think she would be much better once she was in a home and had her freedom.'

Kristy will need an adult only home where an owner will be happy to give her the space she needs and not expect too much from her.

All of the RSPCA's cats, dogs and rabbits are neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped, vet checked and on a flea and worm programme.

You are offered four weeks free insurance if you register on adoption. There is a small adoption fee of £55 for domestic cats and kittens, dogs are on application and all are subject to a successful home visit.

The RSPCA East Norfolk are a locally funded branch. For more information or to see other animals available for rehoming visit their website at www.rspcaeastnorfolk.co.uk
