Read all about it! This year's Royal Norfolk Show is an event not to miss.

Organisers of the biggest occasion on the county's calendar are hoping the backs of buses could be the key to luring more visitors along on Wednesday June 30 and July 1 and top last year's attendance of almost 98,000.

Yesterday they unveiled giant show adverts which will be on the rear of 18 Park and Ride vehicles in the run up to the agricultural and social spectacular.

Show manager Sarah de Chair said: 'I am hoping that those people who do not know anything about the show will see it and say 'ok, let's go.'

'We want people who have not come before to come and experience it.'

She said surveys had been done in previous years in market towns on show days asking people why they had not gone.

'People thought it was only an agricultural show with a few cattle in a field being judged or it was only for the agricultural community and they did not realise what delights we have on offer.'

With nearly four weeks to go until the show starts, all 650-plus trade stands have been sold and there are record cattle entries with the need for extra marquees to accommodate extra numbers.

The grand ring programme highlights will include the Band of the Royal Logistic Corps who will be supported by the RAF Halton Pipes and Drums and scurry driving, which promises plenty of thrills and spills as pairs of ponies are driven through a tricky course of cones and hazards whilst the clock is ticking.

Show regulars the RAF Falcons Freefall Parachute Team will perform their spectacular display and the Bolddog Lings Motocross Team will have the crowd on the edge of their seats when watching their breathtaking stunts.

Advance ticket prices are 18 for adults, 6.50 for children aged five-16, age concessions and disabled 16 and carers 9 or a family ticket for two adults and three children costs 48.
