As World Cup fever intensifies, patriotic football fans are continuing to flag up their support for England in an unusual way.
A number of roundabouts across Great Yarmouth, Gorleston, Bradwell, Belton and Caister now feature the cross of St George – after the nation's flag was painted onto the roundabouts in the past week.
Adding a splash of colour to the streets, further roundabout tributes have now appeared at North Denes Road in Great Yarmouth, New Road in Belton and on Caister High Street.
It comes after roundabouts in Brasenose Avenue in Gorleston, Beaconsfield Road in Great Yarmouth and at Mallard Way in Bradwell had been reportedly painted with England flags on Sunday and Monday – just ahead of the last gasp victory over Tunisia.
With people praising the modfications on social media, speaking of the latest sightings one fan said that everyone was 'getting in the World Cup spirit,' another added: 'More England roundabouts in Great Yarmouth. Hats off to whoever is doing it.'
After the St George's flag had been painted onto the roundabout in Gorleston, a Norfolk County Council spokesman said: 'We don't usually condone unauthorised alterations to roundabouts, but we're in no hurry to remove this particular example until after the World Cup.'
