Rotary Club of Dereham installs new president and reflects on an eventful year

The Rotary Club of Dereham has installed Paul Sheffield as its new president.
At the handover meeting outgoing president, Patricia Barr OBE, gave a brief review of her year in office - the 70th year of service in Dereham - thanking everyone for their support.
Support given by the Rotary Club of Dereham over the year included giving dictionaries to schools, funding prizes at two high schools and the sixth form college, planting purple crocus bulbs at Dereham Windmill as part of Rotary's End Polio Now campaign, holding an art exhibition in the memorial hall, having a schools Christmas/ winter card competition, raising money for the Marie Curie Great Daffodil Appeal, assisting Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service's Crucial Crew project and having a tractor rally.
Mr Sheffield, a picture framer, was inducted by outgoing president Patricia Barr OBE. He thanked all present for their good wishes.
