WORK will begin on Monday, July 30 to carry out footway improvements and highway drainage works on the C432 Chapelfield, Freethorpe.
It is expected that these works will take five weeks to complete.
The works will extend from the junction with The Green and Reedham Road for 300m to Youngs Crescent.
To ensure a safe working environment and to protect the public the works will be undertaken using a road closure.
A signed diversion route will be in place via The Common, Porters Road and The Green. Access to properties within the closure will be maintained from one direction at all times and special signs, indicating businesses remain open, will be erected where required.
The work which will cost 38,000 will be carried out by Norfolk County Council's environment, transport and development department and their contractors.
The County Council apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.
