Drivers face delays on one of the busiest routes in and out of King's Lynn.
Resurfacing work on the A148 Wootton Road will begin on Thursday, February 15.
Officials say the works will take one day to complete subject to suitable weather conditions.
The site will extend from the junction with Queen Elizabeth Avenue to the junction with Bridge Place. To minimise disruption the works will be carried out 9.00 am to 4.30 pm. Whilst surfacing works are in progress traffic will be controlled using three-way Stop / Go boards. Norfolk County Council says: 'Access to businesses and properties will be maintained but it is inevitable that there will be some disruption. The County Council would like to thank people for their patience while these works to replace the existing worn out road surface are carried out.'
The work which will cost £35,000 will be carried out by the council and their contractors.
