Road reopens after Garboldisham crash

A south Norfolk road was closed for more than three hours this morning after a car ended up on its roof following a collision.

The A1066 Diss Road in Garboldisham was closed in both directions near the Gasthorpe turn off because of an accident.

Emergency services were called to the road at about 7am this morning after a Toyota Avensis was involved in a single vehicle collision and ended up on its roof.

The woman driver managed to set out of the vehicle before the arrival of the fire service. She was described as 'walking wounded', but was not taken to hospital.

A spokesman for Norfolk Police said the road was reopened by 11am after a fuel leak from the crashed car was cleared up.
