Road reopened after jack-knifed lorry spills fuel in Postwick rush-hour

A jack-knifed lorry which spilled its fuel caused lengthy delays for motorists at a busy Norwich junction this morning.

The incident happened at 7.25am on Broadland Way, outside Broadland Business Park.

The road was closed in both directions between the A1042 Yarmouth Road junction and the Peachman Way junction until around 11.20am.

The closure caused tailbacks for drivers attempting to pass through the Postwick roundabout in the meantime.

A police spokesman said the lorry driver was not injured in the incident, and that the fire service had helped to clear up fuel which had leaked on to the road.
