A motorist is in hospital with serious injuries following a two vehicle road traffic collision in Brandon this morning .Thetford Road is currently closed and diversions are in place as a result of the crash between a red Ford Focus and a blue Land Rover Freelander at about 6am today.
A motorist is in hospital with serious injuries following a two vehicle road traffic collision in Brandon this morning .
Thetford Road is currently closed and diversions are in place as a result of the crash between a red Ford Focus and a blue Land Rover Freelander at about 6am today.
Emergency services, including firefighters from Brandon and Thetford, were called to the outside of 161 Thetford Road following the collision, which knocked down an electricity pole.
The driver of the Ford was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital by land ambulance with what are described as serious injuries.
Thetford Road is expected to be closed for several hours whilst EDF Energy engineers deal with power cables on the highway.
