Road closed after collision

Two people were injured after a collision on the B1077 near Diss today which closed the road for almost four hours.

It happened at about 7.30am outside Lodge House at Shelfanger and involved a Skoda Felicia and a Peugeot car.

Two people were seriously injured after a head-on collision on the B1077 near Diss today which closed the road for almost four hours.

It happened at about 7.30am near Lodge Lane at Shelfanger.

It involved a Skoda Felicia travelling from Diss towards Shelfanger and a Peugeot car travelling in the opposite direction.

The male driver of the Skoda was taken by ambulance to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with serious multiple injuries.

A female passenger in the other car was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries, along with the male driver, who suffered minor injuries.

Diversions were put in place while the police and fire service cleared the road, which reopened just after 11.15am.
