Road blocked near North Walsham after a parked vehicle is shunted into its owner’s lounge

A village road was blocked this morning after a car crashed with a parked vehicle and shunted it into the lounge of its owner.

Norfolk Police say they were called out 4.53am to the incident in The Street, near the Bradfield Road junction, Swafield, near North Walsham.

They said the person who made the 999 call informed them that their parked car had been pushed through their front wall. The moving vehicle was a Mazda 323.

A structural engineer was initially called but later not required.

No injuries were reported by police.
