Emergency services are at the scene of an incident involving a boat on a river in Great Yarmouth.

UPDATE: Woman in her 30s dies after becoming trapped under boat

Norfolk Police was called just before 1.35pm today (Wednesday, August 19) to reports of a woman in the water at North Quay following an incident involving a boat.

HM Coastguard has said the Gorleston RNLI lifeboat, Gorleston and Winterton Coastguard Rescue Teams, Norfolk Fire Brigade, Norfolk Police and the East of England Ambulance Service are currently responding to the incident at Yarmouth Yacht Station on the River Bure.

A diving team was also scene.

At least 17 emergency vehicles, as well as the air ambulance, had converged on North Quay.

The road was closed from Fullers Hill roundabout towards town, while North River Road was also closed.

They have since reopened.

The Broads Authority has also said the river has been closed until further notice.

Traffic was backed up across the town.
