Hundreds of rock n roll enthusiasts descended on town for a popular annual festival.
Organisers of The Wildest Cats In Town weekend at Pontins holiday park in Pakefield hailed the festival as 'the best one yet.'
The event, held two weekends ago, showcased internationally acclaimed bands, including a number of successful American acts such as Jimmy Burnette, and Chanti Burnette. Guest of honour was American rock pioneer and rhythm and blues singer and guitarist, Charlie Gracie, who was presented with Buddy Holly's guitar by The Buddy Holly Foundation during special performances at the Royal Green on the Sunday morning. A procession of classic cars, motorbikes and trikes had made their way in a procession from Pontins to the Royal Green, with DJ Mike Read leading all the vehicles during Sunday's cruise. Locals came out in their masses to see the cavalcade, before the group headed back to Pontins for further rock n roll entertainment.
Event organiser, Ritchie Gee, said: 'It was a fantastic weekend – the best one yet. We had bands flying in from Japan, France, Germany, Spain and the USA.'
