Cyclists set off on a sponsored bike ride to raise money for a charity which teaches parents and children how to protect themselves online.

Jean Rochford, who volunteers for Enough Abuse UK, is riding 100km around West Norfolk with her husband Alan, Nick Drew and Charlotte Drew. The foursome, who hope to raise £1,000, were waved off from Knights Hill, on the outskirts of King's Lynn by James Bagge, High Sheriff of Norfolk.

Mrs Rochford has set up training sessions for the charity. She said: 'One of the ladies who attended two of the events came up with the ideas of a sponsored bike ride to raise money as she realised the charity receives no major funding. It was going to be her and me but her husband got involved and instead of being a 50-mile bike ride it is now 100km.'

A training session for 10/11 year olds is being held at the Methodist Church in Paradise Road, Downham Market on Thursday, November 16 (6pm). To book call 07825 774181.
