Old school clubbers are being called on to dust off their dancing shoes again, as the organisers behind the Tiffany's Reunion in January prepare another night of nightclub nostalgia.

More than 1400 people took to the dancefloor at the first reunion, which saw old friends travel from far and wide to re-live the glory days in the Tower Complex – what was once Tiffany's ballroom.

So popular was the night that organiser and DJ Dave Starbuck promised a fantastic follow up, and now a date has been set for July 23.

Liverpool chart toppers The Real Thing will be top of the bill, together with a full line up of 70s, 80s and 90s club DJs.

The Real Thing consists of brothers Chris and Eddie Amoo and Dave Smith, who are all original members of what was once a four-piece group.

They first shot to number one in 1976 with the hit You to Me Are Everything, quickly followed up by the number two chart success Can't Get By Without You.

And Can You Feel The Force reached number five in 1979.

During this time The Real Thing established themselves as a popular touring R&B band and achieved a number of other album and single chart releases.

Then in 1986 they released the decade remixes of their hit songs and the fame and success happened all over again for them.

It was during this time that local impresario and Tiffany's Nightclub owner Howard Platt brought the band to Great Yarmouth – when Mr Starbuck was resident DJ at the club.

Mr Starbuck said: 'Of course the 80s were brilliant times for dance music and working with The Real Thing was an absolute honour.

'I think the band appeared at the venue more than 10 times from 1986 to 1990 and it was at this time that the venue was one of the most popular music venues in the whole of the UK. It's for this reason that I wanted to bring the The Real Thing back to the town and the club so that we can create another night of nostalgia.'

Tiffany's Reunion 2 will also feature the town's top DJs from that era including Paul Allen, John Rodgers, Richard Routledge, Nevv Moore, Dave Starbuck and many more.

Advance ticket sales have reached over 1000 and with a capacity of 1500 organisers are thinking a full house or even a sell out in advance is on the cards.

The doors open at 8pm and advance tickets are £15 from Music Lovers in Gorleston High Street, or in Great Yarmouth from the Kings Arms, Northgate Street or Ellie's, Broad Row. You can also contact Mr Starbuck directly on starbys@hotmail.co.uk and look out for the Tiffany's Christmas – Reunion 3 in the next few months.
