Search and rescue teams were scouring the River Wensum this morning after police responded to reports of a man threatening to jump in the water.
Norfolk Police said they were called around 4am to the Bishopbridge area of Norwich after they 'took a call from a distressed male who said he was going to jump into the river'.
Fire appliances from Sprowston and Carrow along with the technical rescue unit and boat from Norfolk Fire Service attended to assist in the search.
The man was 'located safe and well' and was talking to police when the situation was resolved.
