A popular classic car and bike show has been cancelled for 2020 due to Covid-19 restrictions, but there will be a special addition to the event when it returns next year.

Hugh Ivins, a member of the Reepham Classic Car and Bike Show organising committee, said they had decided to cancel this year’s event, which would have taken place in late September.

Mr Ivins said: “We waited as long as we could within a realistic timeframe, but the safety of entrants, comprising some 140 classic cars and the several thousand attendant public of this extremely popular event in the Market Square was uppermost when coming to this decision.

“The annual event was instigated five years ago by local resident Peter Fitzjohn, who sadly passed away earlier this year. The organising team are keen to repeat the success of the earlier shows for September 2021 and have decided to present a Peter Fitzjohn trophy in his memory, for Best Car in Show.”
