They were back by popular demand - and the Red Arrows wowed the crowds again with breathtaking displays of skill and courage at the Cromer Carnival.

Thousands of people took up every possible vantage point to get the best view ahead of the display on Wednesday, August 16.

Onlookers included Cromer councillor Tim Adams, who watched as they performed their magic in the air. He said: 'They were superb again.'

The carnival's chairman Tony Shipp said they were a few minutes late performing for the first time.

He said: 'They had a few problems fuelling up with the colours/ trails they do. They've been doing the show since 1980 and have missed a few years in that time, but this was the first time they had been late.'

It did not stop onlookers' enjoyment, though, and one holidaymaker said: 'We come to the carnival to see the Red Arrows and they did not disappoint.'
