The recycling centre at Caister will open for an extra hour each day as it switches to its Summer timetable, today.

It means the centre in Pump Lane will close at 5pm, not 4pm. However last year it closed at 6pm.

Also from today, the price of disposing of tyres at the eight recycling centres which accept them, will increase to £4 per tyre, to cover the cost of collection and disposal. The number of tyres which can be accepted will still be limited to five per household per week. Bicycle tyres are still accepted for free.
