A club that preserves vintage and classic agricultural machinery is holding its summer show this weekend.

The Starting Handle Club was created in 1974 by a small group of enthusiasts, and now has 200 members, ranging in age from nine to 90.

A highlight of the show will be the newly rebuilt Soame Steam Cart, which will be making its first appearance since the rebuild.

Built in 1897, the rebuild work has been carried out by Richard King of Thurgarton Iron Works. in north Norfolk.

The club has regularly exhibited at the Aylsham Show, Worsted Festival, the Royal Norfolk Show plus many other events in Norfolk and north Suffolk. It has raised thousands of pounds over the years for charity and good causes.

The summer show will be held on Saturday, August 12 and Sunday, August 13, 9am to 5pm on both days, at Orchard Cottage, Allison Street, Marsham, near Aylsham.
