It's not been your typical July weather in sunny Hunny this weekend but that has done little to deter extreme sports fans.

Organisers of Lifestyles Festival, East Anglia's biggest extreme sports festival, are delighted with how things have gone so far.

Event organiser Tony Devenish said yesterday: 'It's been fantastic so far. We had a schools day on Friday, which was amazing, with hundreds of kids taking part in workshops including wind surfing, skate boarding and BMX riding.

'Because of the rain today some of the street sports haven't gone ahead today and the street dancing competition has been moved to the town hall, but there has been lots of other stuff going on.

'And, of course, the wet weather is not a problem for the guys doing the water sports as they get wet anyway and the wind has been ideal for the kite surfers.'

The festival has been going for the last three days and activities are being run at the North Prom and the sea off the Town Beach.

It has been organised by the Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk and Hunstanton Sailing Club.
