Budding athletes can quiz Olympic gold medallist Linford Christie at a special event at King's Lynn Town Hall on Sunday, August 7.

The event gives sports fans the chance to ask Linford questions about his athletics career, training regimes and coaching tips.

Adam Garford, West Norfolk's urban sports motivator, said: 'This is a rare and exciting opportunity to ask questions of the only British man to have won gold medals in the 100 metres at all four major competitions. Linford has won 23 major championship medals including 10 gold medals.'

The event is free of charge and starts at 7.30pm. Places are limited so booking is essential. Bookings can be made by e-mailing activity.bookings@west-norfolk.gov.uk or by calling 01553 616251.

Linford will be hosting his ever-popular Street Athletics event in King's Lynn the following day, with registration taking place between 4 and 5pm and the races commencing at 5pm.
