Police in King's Lynn are appealing for the public's help to trace two six-week-old puppies stolen from a back garden in the town.

The beige coloured Rhodesian Ridgeback/German Shepherd pups, one male one female, were two of three stolen from the enclosed rear garden in Bagge Road, Gaywood, on Tuesday, June 13, some time between 12.45 and 3.45pm.

The third puppy, also male, was later recovered by a neighbour of the victim from two female youths on the Fairstead Estate and returned home.

Police spokeswoman Beth Manning said: “This is an unusual theft and the thieves would have needed to scramble over a 6ft high garden fence in daylight in order to steal them. We would therefore hope somebody witnessed this or them making off with the three puppies.

“The theft has understandably left the owners extremely upset and angry and would appeal to anyone with knowledge of their whereabouts to contact us immediately with that information.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sgt Henry Taylor at King's Lynn Police Station on 0845 456 4567.
