New seating costing £60,000 was given the thumbs-up by the public at an open day at Sheringham Little Theatre.
Scores of people visited the venue to test the refit which has seen 180 old seats replaced with 162 new ones with more comfort and leg room.
Theatre director Debbie Thompson said: “The feedback from visitors was hugely supportive. There were lots of positive comments about the extra knee room and the overall look of the auditorium.
“Some taller people who previously struggled to get comfy and had stayed away said they would be visiting once again because things were so much better, which really justifies our decision to have fewer but better seats.”
Seats are still available in the ‘buy a seat’ campaign – where people can have a name on a seat back for a minimum donation of £150. Contact the box-office on 01263 822347 or email email@example.com
