Isn't it easy to take refuge in our homes, our work and our relationships, and why not? But they can never surpass the resultant peace of knowing God's unchanging nature. If, however, we obtain comfort, security or self-worth in temporary objects, fleeting success or imperfect relationships, we run the risk of losing our sense of wellbeing in an instant. Do we truly believe that our relationship with God is the most valuable aspect of our lives? If so then let's start digging for treasure.
