Campaigners fighting to preserve Wymondham's King's Head Meadow play area are planning to protest at a public consultation about its future tomorrow (Friday).
Norfolk County Council agreed to mediate in a dispute between Wymondham Town Council, which wants to remove some play equipment because of noise complaints, and residents who want it kept as it is.
The county council has announced two public consultation sessions - tomorrow at the Central Hall from 2.30pm to 3.30pm and on September 6 at Wymondham Football Club from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
But the group's spokesperson, Dave Roberts, said he objected to the short notice given for tomorrow's meeting, and a conflict of interest as some town councillors were also on the county and district councils.
Mr Roberts said: 'If there is an issue and we can see the facts we want to negotiate a compromise.'
