STEPHEN PULLINGER
A 35-year-old worker at Clays printers in Bungay was taken to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital by air ambulance after his hand was crushed in an accident involving machinery.
Police and the air ambulance were alerted at about 10.40am on Saturday after reports that the man's hand was trapped and that he had suffered serious damage to two fingers.
The victim, who has yet to be named, was said to be conscious and breathing normally on the journey to hospital.
A spokesman for the Health and Safety Executive said last night that they had yet to be informed, but expected that would happen on Monday.
