Norwich City's 6-1 defeat to Manchester City this weekend will not be eagerly remembered by many Canaries supporters, but it will by Edith McDonald.
That is because the match at Carrow Road was the first that Mrs McDonald had ever attended.
The 88-year-old, who lives in Poringland, watches football regularly on the television and has eagerly followed Norwich City's rise to the Premier League in recent years.
She finally got the chance to go and see Paul Lambert's team play live though, after winning two tickets from the Civil Service Sports Association, of which she is a member.
Mrs McDonald joined more than 26,800 people at Carrow Road for the match and said: 'I thoroughly enjoyed the occasion and atmosphere - shame about the score!'
She attended the match with her son-in-law, Richard Read, husband of her daughter, Susan, who live in Castle Acre, near King's Lynn.
