A vintage rally and country fair will take heritage enthusiasts back in time with displays of more than 600 steam engines, vintage tractors and classic cars.

The popular annual event will take place at Goodrich Park, in Palgrave, near Diss on Saturday, June 16 and Sunday, June 17.

The Vintage Rally and Country Fair promises to be the organisers’ largest event ever and a great day out for the family.

Organiser Charlotte Frost, 40, said: “This year is the biggest show we have had. We are having to turn a lot of exhibits away just because of how big it is.

“It has been growing year on year for the past six years, with a lot of people returning to show their exhibits.”

People will be able to see how work was completed before the invention of machines, while the crafters area will show traditional methods still being used today and Shire Horses being prepared and worked.

Animal lovers will be able to see a falconry display, alpacas and a giant tortoises, which have been a hit with families in previous years.

Mrs Frost added: “We have lots of animals so it is perfect for a family day out.

“A Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will be making a flypast on both days of the show as well.

“We are hoping for good weather across the weekend to make it a great day out.”

For the fly-over, planes from the Second World War will be showcased with a Lancaster Bomber, Hurrican and a Spitfire all taking part.

A traditional fairground will be open to entertain the visitors and a children’s sand pit will be available to the let the children play while adults relax.

A large trade stand area and craft marquee will also be offering a selection of products and special offers.

Dogs are welcome and organisers have teamed up with Paws of Parham to offer dog show, agility ring and flyball lane.

Gates open at 10am each morning. The showground can be found off the A143.

Signs have been put along the route to help visitors.
