Norfolk business’ expansion plans to be discussed

A Norfolk business will find out if its hopes of expanding will be accepted by the council as planning permission is decided tomorrow, Wednesday, January 3.

N R Asphalt, in Ketteringham is planning to build a haulage yard and workshop on land off of Station Lane.

The yard will be used for the parking and servicing of the companies vehicles.

Included in the plans is the construction of a car park and storage area which will be used by South Norfolk Council in connection with the Ketteringham Depot.

The site is bound by roads and railways on all sides with the Norwich to Cambridge line to the northern.

The application has been recommended for approval as it will “not have a significant adverse impact on the local natural environment and character of the countryside.”

This recommendation is subject to objections from outstanding consultees including Network Rail and Anglian Water which are yet to comment.
